This presentation will include information on identification and best management practices for major insect and disease problems encountered on trees and shrubs in Minnesota yards and gardens. Relatively new threats for Minnesota, such as Japanese beetles, gypsy moth, and emerald ash borer will be mentioned.
Dr. Widin is a private consultant in plant pathology and urban forestry. She writes the "Plant Health" column for Northern Gardener magazine and is a frequent lecturer on plant problems in the upper Midwest.
